THE STORY OF DURHAM SCRATCH CHOIR

Durham Scratch Choir (DSC) is a community choir based in the heart of the city of Durham, county Durham - UK and was established in 1995. The concept of our choir is: you don't have to be a learned chorister to join us, you 'can start from scratch'.  

So what does DSC have that so many other choirs don’t? The emphasis within our choral community is on having a good time, making friends and above all enjoying ourselves. The feeling of being part of something that is both joyous and fulfilling, and in a safe and friendly environment; makes DSC unique and it's the reason it has lasted for so many years.
